Contact Kamalaya Farm today with your enquiry. Come and join our ‘family’, introduce yourself to more friends and breeders who share passion and love for these beautiful animals. We have a wait list on animals therefore we encourage you to make contact early so we can arrange deliveries around our breeding schedules. We also conduct Embryo and A.I. (artificial insemination) programs with partners and like minded breeders.
No deposit is required to be placed on our waiting list. When you have chosen your animal we will then require a 50% deposit to secure your purchase.
We review our herd with particular attention being paid to conformation, health and production. When you are deciding on a breeding, Kamalaya Farm will do our best to help you find animals that will provide you with improvement to your herd. If you are a first time buyer, please remember goats are herd animals therefore we will only sell in pairs.
Buying A Nigerian Dwarf Goat For The First Time?
Finding a registered breeder is quintessential to your investment. Some questions you should ask the breeder, ‘are you registered to a relevant group or dairy association?’ and ‘can you provide me with DNA certification for the animal?’ This ensures your animals genetics and provides you with certainty of bloodlines. We recommend the MGBA (Miniature Goat Breeder’s Association of Australia) www.mgba.com.au
You will need to contact your local council for regulations on keeping goats in your area. Council can also assist you with locating your PIC number (property identification code) . This will be your unique eight-character code assigned by Local Land Services to properties with livestock and placed into a district register.
